A fire Thursday afternoon destroyed a small shed-like home on 28th Avenue near Kaloli Drive in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

A fire Thursday afternoon destroyed a small shed-like home on 28th Avenue near Kaloli Drive in Hawaiian Paradise Park.

Eleven units responded to the 2:11 p.m. alarm, with the first unit arriving eight minutes later to find the shack engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to another house on the property.

The fire was reported extinguished at 2:30 p.m. There were no reported injuries.

Damage estimate is $24,000. A reported $250,000 in property value was preserved.
